Marquis Horne averaged 8.5 points and 4.9 rebounds this past season for the Salt Lake City Bruins in 17 games around an injury... he shot 60 percent from the floor... as a freshman in 2011-12 he averaged 4.3 points and 3.4 rebounds in 16 games... had 11 rebounds vs. Colorado Northwest CC on March 3, 2011... originally signed with Ohio U. but did not play there.

Horne played his junior and senior high school seasons at Princeton Academy in Cincinnati, Ohio, helping the team to the state finals as a senior when he averaged 11 points and 7 rebounds in 2008-09... as a junior he averaged 12 points and 7 boards... he played his sophomore season for a 22-7 team at Wheeler High School in Marietta, Georgia.

“Marquis is a very smooth, left-handed combo forward who will play the 3 and the 4 for us for the next two seasons,” said Coach Andy Newman. “His biggest strengths are his athleticism and ability to score both inside and out.”
